Rosemary’s Door

This painting was a long time coming. We stayed at a friends house in Wales and this lovely house was just over the very narrow road. It was a converted mill and I didn’t know at the time but the owner was a lady called Rosemary, who was good friends with our friend Annie. Whilst we were staying I painted the view through the door way and also took some photos, but I never did finish my painting. Instead I painted this one especially for our friend Annie after Rosemary sadly passed away. She loves it and it’s hanging in her house opposite the door.
